There are two pretty good tests for telling if Joshua is on roids or not. First, use your eyes. Secondly, calculate his FFMI from an estimation of his bodyfat percentage. If it's around twenty five then chances are very high he's juicing. If it's anything over that it's a dead cert. My own FFMI for Joshua came out to 26.5. No amount of genetic variance can account for those numbers naturally. https://www.thecalculator.co/health/Fat-Free-Mass-Index-(FFMI)-Calculator-794.html http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/re...bolic-androgen-steroids-research-review.html/
you'll find hundreds of people at your local gym as ripped as he is but of course, that would require you to actually go in one and exercise first.
His bodyfat percentage? Yes, to a degree. It's impossible to know anyone's bodyfat absolutely, but you can make some educated guesses. Based on his level of definition Joshua is unlikely to be any higher than 15% and probably closer to 10% unless he stores a large amount of visceral fat around his organs, which would skew the numbers. Once you know a person's bodyfat percentage it's only a matter of calculating the numbers. So no guessing there.
Lol some folk just wanna believe everything they're told, the media never lies and Paula Radcliffe was full natty bra whilst demolishing the marathon record and 2nd and third were found to be doped up to the eyeballs and yet Paula despite strange blood results was just a natural freak. I'm a big fan of AJ but I'm not gonna even try and convince myself he's a clean athlete or Wlad for that matter, just the way of things and imo it's why these rematches are taking so long to arrange,Ward v Kovalev springs to mind,GGG v Jacobs was held off and now this when they've already got the venue ect, probably just finishing a cycle and you know what I'm ok with it as I don't need to pretend they're clean.
Yeah, there is always going to be a degree of variance depending on what you estimate his bodyfat to be. The higher the bodyfat the lower the number. Regardless, anything over 25 should raise major red flags when you consider that professional bodybuilders in the pre-steroid era were only just hitting it, athletes whose sole goal was to attain as much lean mass as humanly possible. If Joshua was a natural bodybuilder I'd be willing to cut him more slack, though I'd still have my doubts. That he's a professional boxer gives me no leeway for doubt whatsoever. It's weird there's still so much puritanism among sports fans regarding PEDs. It's likely a holdover from all the brainwashing crap that came out in the seventies and eighties, winners don't take drugs etc. Unfortunately we're now living in an age where it's becoming increasingly clear that not only do winners take drugs, lots of them, they also take the most cutting edge drugs they can lay their hands on which are virtually untraceable and/or have deals with the testing orgs that render them immune. It's just a fact of sport nowadays. Yet we still get imbeciles who want to believe in great genetics and the tooth fairy. It's hard to fight against such stupidity.
Lol, no. While I suspect he is doping like any elite athlete these days, especially in a sport that isn't rigorously tested, the reasoning behind that suspicion is often flawed. You say their are 2 good methods for telling, your eyes? Seriously if people could just tell people were juicing by sight then how come so many get away with it? Why even bother testing lol. As for FFMI it gets banded about like some golden standard for telling if someone is juicing or not. But quite frankly it's as accurate as BMI which isn't accurate at all. The study that led to this supposed flawless method of telling if someone was abusing steroids was based on a study of 156 people with the participants in this study only had to be older than 16. So basically the study was done on a small a scale, involving participants nowhere near their genetic ceiling for natural lifting, it's impossible to consider it a comprehensive answer.
Here are Olympic wrestling and judoist FFMI charts. While judoists are mainly around 21-23 FFMI, there's quite a few Greco-Roman wrestlers in the 26 range that AJ is in. https://www.researchgate.net/figure...doists-by-age-groups-FFMI-fat-free-mass-index https://openi.nlm.nih.gov/detailedresult.php?img=PMC3592107_jhk-28-141f2&req=4
Yes and like I keep saying they don't view it as cheating, sure if caught they can expect sponsors and the like to throw em under the bus.
I choose to remain naive about drugs tests and so on. If you're found guilty in court then you're out of luck. I will slam you then. But until then, nobody is on anything.
That's a fair stance to take. Ultimately, rules are rules and need to be enforced. If you're smart enough to get away with it more power to you. If you slip up prepare to face the wrath.
