He quit vs Tyson, got Ko'd in 1 vs Brewster, Barely beat Mollo. I know he has alot of fans but i just don't see it to me he is pathetic
He had some good fights in the past and even not so long ago. Plus he is an oddball. I think most of all it is the fact that Polish fans are very loyal to their countrymen.
He beat Bowe twice in VERY ENTERTAINING fights ending his career. He was talented there is no doubt about it. He beat Chris Byrd and John Ruiz and was the uncrowned WBA/WBC champ :yep Yea he struggled with Mollo but he is 40 years old now after a car accident, cant throw the jab like he used to.
He's a show, he's never really boring, and the unpredictiabilty makes him insanely interesting as a subject.
He was entertaining to watch and got robbed of a belt twice. Tyson was crazy too, he still has lots of fans.
Him being Polish helps.:!: But the skills he displayed (minus the low blows) against Bowe were eye opening for any boxing fan. Had he not failed mentally in the ring, he really coul have dominated. But because there was that challange, his obvious talent & a strong ethic following, he wasn't just someone we could toss aside. There was always hope with Golota. And there still is...:bbb
Golota is a very talented boxer, with power in both hands. Golota is a very unlucky fighter, he's someone who gets a ton of title shots, but seems to either implode or get ****ed over by the judges on the big stage. He's a very enertaining fighter, that usually shocks you in one way or another. For being 40+, the man stays in great shape, and his fight against mollo proved his toughness, as well showing he still has something left in the tank. Look for Golota to face of against Peter in the near future, the match would be very interesting to say the least.
Lol, Ludicrous How Some People Are Such Sore Losers... Golota Beat Ruiz???? Last Time I Checked Ruiz's Profile There Was A Big W By Ud (yep, Unanimous Decision) Next To His Fight Against Mediocre Golota!
Golota wiped the canvas with a guy many here have in their top 20 HW's of all time, twice. He deserved the win against Ruiz and Byrd and is always saying or doing things which are bizarre in nature. He is a genuinely interesting character. I don't understand how people could not like the guy.
I used to train in Jersey City with Andrew and Al Certo was my trainer as well and the thing with Golota was in the gym he looked fantastic because he was in his element.Ive seen him beat up on Jameel on several occasions and several other guys but once he got in front of a big crowd his stage fright would kick in and make him become very edgy......Hes a really good fighter who never reached his full potential, its a shame because hes actually a very nice and funny guy...
