once again, you can't say that, because of condition Gaele was in. Dawson was knocked out by Ward, who is not a big puncher by any means, after being brought down to an unnatural weight. Being drained does that to you, do not give all the credit to the punching power, leave some for a much weakened resilience of the fighter getting hit.

Maybe he was zapping his power make weight in the lower divisions. Cottos previous trainers were not training him correctly to get the best out of him.

Ctto doesn't hit as hard. He hits you more and cleaner. He is also harder to hit. He is a better boxer

Cotto was always a serious puncher when he was throwing the left hook and sitting down on it. Recently he'd gone away from that punch because he'd been caught a few times throwing it but Roach has worked it back into his ****nal

Worst post ive seen from you CST. Come on bro, chill on the Cotto hate.

You have admire a dude that was beaten the way he was against Pac, to come back and beat Martinez (shot or not...) & have such a convincing win over someone like Geale.

    War Cotto!!!

I agree mostly, but thats not always true. Rios used to weight drain himself like crazy for lightweight, a lot more than Geale, and he still had an iron chin when he walked into the fight. And Micky Garcia was throwing up after a weigh in not too long ago, but still looked great in the actual fight.

Exactly. The huge disparity in skill and speed is what saw Geale stopped in the 4th, the guy was getting lit up from the opening bell, getting outboxed from the outside by a much smaller guy and coming off worse in every exchange.

It's a tainted win for me though unfortunately, Geale looked like a corpse at the weigh in and just didn't look right on fight night, more sluggish than normal and very, very flat. Cotto would have beaten him anyway, but you have to wonder how much the weight affected his performance. Something needs to be done about these ridiculous catchweights.

Cotto didn't hurt him, Geale straight out quit. Against GGG he was hurt.

He quit against both guys. And to say Cotto didn't hurt him is just plain idiotic.
