How is Floyd fighter of the year when...

I agree pavlik should get it! On the other hand mayweather won a good fight against oscar but instead of fighting hatton he should of fought the #1 contender at WW it's only right after all it was for that title if he would of had won then he would of deserved fighter of year hands down!!! But pavlik gets the nod in my opinion!!!!!!!

 

Unless you are putting Hatton as equals with those two, don't use them as a comparison.

As a Pavlik fan, I would like to believe that Kelly's explosion onto the world scene was more impressive than Floyd's year. However - Floyd was involved in back-to-back largest fights of the year. The De La Hoya/Mayweather fight kickstarted a great year for boxing and Mayweather was at least 1/2 responsible for that.

 

Boy stop all this hating :-(

 

If being in the 2 largest fights in a year is the main reason you think Floyd should win, then I guess you also feel DLH has been robbed of a few "Fighter if the Year" titles as well.

I would be inclined to give it to Mayweather, but almost by default. In terms of the actual fights and what was expected, I don't think Mayweather did enough. But then again, no one else did either.

 

Let me get this straight, Floyd needs to beat PW to be recognized as a great fighter :huh :-( ........he's the best fighter today.
