How is Fury the "lineal champ" when he's a proven drug cheat?

Don’t think you understand how lineal works here.

 

Sometimes things aren't very simple. An example would be those from the UK that want to support a UK boxer who has achieved more than most of his peers will ever accomplish and who is one of the genuine characters in the game, but at the same time recognise that he's a flawed character with a lot of question marks over his actions. Or does expressing that honest viewpoint make me part of the 'conspiracy to systematically discredit Tyson Fury'

Fury is the "bad guy" for making the Wilder fight, AJ is the "hero" for ducking it...is this real life? How soon they forget...smh, it's sad to see what pride and insecurity do to people, feel bad for Fury.

There's nothing to strip and no-one to do it. One fan thinks he's lineal, another thinks he lost that when he retired, or tested positive etc.

Fury has seized on this as a marketing tool, nothing more.

 

I don't think you've gotten the concept of lineal down. I don't mean that to be offensive.

Lineal is a popularity contest. If most fans say Tyson Fury is lineal he'll go down as lineal, simple as that. There's always been people who don't agree with the lineage or how it was handled during retirement etc. but history books are written based off the popular opinion not very good, logical, sound opinions.

Either way i reckon we agree. They're talking about stripping a pretend belt for pretend rules, and that's just silly.
