how is goldenboy involved in pacquiao-mayweather

    dont understand how de la hoya and goldenboy r so involved when neither floyd or manny r signed with goldenboy

    or isi some kind of co promotion with golden boy taking no percentage of boxer's purse but maybe like 20 percent of ppv sales or something?

    no but i dont c how de la hoya involved when manny got top rank and floyd got mayweather promotions unless he working with oscar which i dont get cuz all oscar does is say floyd gunna get beat and floyd always slags off de la hoya

    1. Floyd is sometimes Promoted by GBP, and his fight with Pac will.

    2. GBP owns part of Manny Pacquiao. Pac signed with GBP over a brifecase full of dollar bills.

    Mosley has a contract that he needs to abide by with GBP.
    Mayweather is a FREE AGENT.

    I think what truly happened is GBP got fight options (a share of the revenues from Mayweather bouts), for the next 5 fights following the DLH-FMJ fight. So up to now, they've collected money with the following fights :

    Hatton-PBF
    Marquez-PBF
    Mosley-PBF

    2 more to go normally....and they are given the mandate to negociate on behalf of Floyd.

    In regards to Pacman, a judge ruled that GBP would keep on getting a small % of every Pacquiao fights for the remainder of his contract with TOP RANK, because he initially was given a briefcase full of cash and was somewhat enticed into a "Tacit consent" with GBP, at least that's what a judge ruled..

    Boxers need a strong promotional company.

    GBP has been the riches, strogest Promotional company recently. That is Mayweather's choice, since he knows GBP will come through.

    ALSO, Part of Pacquiao's purse goes to Golden Boy, mainly due to Pac's stupidity. Kind of like how EAZY-E was getting paid off Dr. Dre.
