I'm not sure as I don't know Ishida that well, but I have watched his fight with GGG. How significant was it? I'm reading that Ishida went 12 rounds against Pirog and Paul Williams but I know he was almost dang near killed by GGG in 3 rounds. I know some of you rate Pirog very highly on this boxing forum, so how is GGG's performance against Ishida viewed?
I rate the way it ended very highly since Ishida had a pretty impressive chin. but the win itself wasn't all that impressive Ishida isn't hard to outbox.
Skill wise he was brilliant and would have posed a lot of problems for GGG but he wasn't incredibly heavy handed but he had enough pop to take out Danny Jacobs by KO.
It's not even among GGG's top 5 wins, none of which are particularly noteworthy to begin with. So how is it viewed? As nothing significant, as it should be. :smoke
The Jacobs KO and Ishida KO both were via stepping into overhand rights, not coincidentally. "Pitcher's Punch" :bbb
