I thought about this while posting in another thread. Tito use get alot of heat for it, and just recently while watching the 24/7 countdown, I saw Floyd's hands wrapped like casts (although it was just for training). I've noticed mostly all boxers do this. I know they say its to protect thier hands, but at what point does it become illegal?

In training is one thing. I believe there are specific restrictions on the method and quantity of tape applied to one's hands. I remember someone's cornerman in some sort of lead-up type of video (maybe Calzaghe? though the cornerman was not fluent in English) being chastised by the opposing cornerman for applying tape, then gauze, then tape, then gauze.

I think that might have been Ward v Kessler.

I also remember Hopkins refusing to come out unless Tito's hands were rewrapped.

You want to talk about shady wraps look at Pac. Roach rolls up the tape to make up knuckles inside Pacs wraps. Someone posted pictures of his hands before the Margarito fight and it doesnt even look flat like most fighters. It looks like knuckles.

Wraps approved by NSAC and Texas Athletic commission as well as the p4p ATG wrap inspector - Naazim Richardson.

Roach knew better than to try that **** vs Mosley with Nazim looking on.

Showtime did not show Pacquiao's handwraps before or after the Mosley fight. Does anyone have close up shots of Pac's wraps before or after the Mosley fight?

I'd like to compare the look of Pac's wraps against Mosley in comparison to the brass knuckle look Pacquiao sported vs Margarito.

    This...

The first one I seen do this is De La Hoya. Roach tried to protest this, but the commission ruled it to be legal, so ever since then, he has wrapped pacs hands the same way. Anyone can do it if they choose to.
