How is it legal for boxers to wrap thier knuckles with 3 inches of tape?

it becomes illegal if:

Obviously you tampered or loaded the wraps

Stacking Gauze tape gauze then tape (that forms a cast like wrap)

Gauze must be fresh clean and un used, pros I beleive its 10 yards amateurs is 15 yards per hand

one inch tape only is allowed, No tape dirrectly over the knuckles must be one inch off of the knuckle line.

and also the tape inbetween the fingers, some fighters twist alot of that **** making a rope like which can cause a fighter to cut easier or worse.

I have never seen a fighter wrap their knuckles as that is illegal what your seeing there is the gauze folded back and forth to make a pad over their knuckles.

No they cant. When Roberto Garcia protested Pacquiao's handwraps he told a commision inspector, "the inspector inspecting Margarito told us Margarito's gauze at the top of the fist had to be flat, Pacquiao clearly had high ridges at the top when he made a fist."

Some fighters are allowed to get away with it as Pacquiao was, but on the night, Margarito was not allowed to wrap the same as Pacquiao, he was told no ridges, the fist must be flat.

 

The only reason Manny got away with it is because of Margaritos previous case with his handwraps and Mannys the star but he clearly had illegal wraps I dont think Brother Nasim would have allowed that when he fought Mosley
