How is Joe Joyce ranked but not Michael Hunter?

    Don't get me wrong, I think both are very good fighters. But Hunter TKO5 Kiladze, nothing. In his next fight, Joyce TKOs5 Kiladze, and gets ranked #10 by the WBA after only 6 fights against the same guy Hunter previously just beat.

    Gotta feel for Hunter, nice little case study as to how promoters corrupt the sanctioning organizations.

    To me, Hunter is far and away the best prospect of all the CW/HW out there, and I do mean FAR AND AWAY. I think hes all wrong for Joyce and would put him through boot camp. Id also love to see him face Usyk again, not saying I think he would win, but I think hes greatly improved because of the fight and the rematch would be a JDAM bomb of a fight.

    I think he will have a difficult time against the super heavies simply due to his size, but i think Hunter is an underated talent and has that style where he is extremely awkward both defensively and offensively and is a danger for any man who isnt a very skilled boxer. Definitely a fan and will be watching his future fights with anticipation.

    Hunter has three HW fights.
    Joyce has six.

    Boxrec for example has Hunter as #30 and Joyce #46.

    Actually Hunter has had 10 of his pro fights at heavyweight, and only 6 at cruiserweight. I was very impressed with his win over Bakole. Ask any heavyweight in the UK, Bakole is a good fighter and no mug, he'll be back garunteed, probably took on Hunter a little too early, a little too inexperienced, but I was impressed with two avioded guys getting it on and Hunter pulling it off on foreign soil. Hopefully Hunter can get some bigger fights in the UK.

    Yes but he hasn't fought at HW since 2015 so his ranking points from then were expired.

    I’m a big fan of Hunter, I like his defence, his heart and the fact the kid is damn near fearless. The only reason why Joyce is ranked is due to the volume of fights that he has had at HW, whereas Hunter has only had a couple of fights up at HW.

    Then how is Guillermo Jones ranked WBA #11 after 3 fights at heavyweight against stiffs? Don King much? :lol:

    Think so, but hes being managed by a Polish guy out of the UK. Probably got the UK and big money fights on the brain.

    I think your right, hes skilled obviously, but you need legs when your that size with super heavies(Usyk), I think he gets walked down by Joyce tbh and he don't go 10 rounds
