    ABILITY (SPELLING)

We see alot of Kessler nuthuggers here commending their man, though being very hard on Naseem Hamed. Hamed was by far a superior fighter P4P (he actually was rated in the top 10 for 4 years). Yet these guys are so forgiving to the most hyped fighter this side of the pond in a long time. He was beaten more decisively vs Calzaghe than Hamed was when he faced a genuine Legend in Barrera.

Kessler has marketed well he says all the right things "I am Europes De La Hoya ...blah blah blah" the only thing De La Hoya and Kessler have in common is that they are both charming athletes with 20 carrott diamond smile. Thats where the comparison ends.

can you give an example of someone who credits Kessler and discredits Hamed?

I remember Kessler proclaiming himself the second best P4P fighter in the world after beating up an old Marcus Beyer.

    Good times.

Well a few things - Hamed hid in England for his whole career - not taking the chance away from home - Kessler went to Australia and Wales to fight. Hamed hid with his WBO-belt and took the IBF and WBC belts- but dropped them as soon as he was forced to do mandatories.

When Hamed finally took a chance and went to the US he got his ass handed to him much much worse than Kessler did versus Calzaghe. The the Prince retired never coming back - he ran. Kessler is going to come back versus a top5 opponent proberbly away from home again.

Add to that that Hamed was a protentios ***** who never showed his opponents or anyone else any respect and Kessler is a very likeable fellow, who always respects his opponents and you have your answer :)

I have not seen Kessler, but I saw Hamed. He was an act with no chin. Kelly was at end of carreer, and fought bad bout, lost his cool, but still floored Hamed.

I can't see how anyone would give Kessler more credit for his accomplishments than they give Naz.

Kelly was 30 when Hamed fought him, also Kelly was in his back yard, Kelly was the 2nd best in that division, Kelly was also a better P4P fighter than Kessler.

Kelly also had never been KOd

HAMED also didn't say anything offensive to his opponents like some would have you believe, I never heard him say anything digrading to his opponents regarding their ability or Personal details, like a Mayweather who calls people B class C class.
Hamed just said he was the best etc.....his power was from god and alot of other BS....

I have never heard that Mikkel Kessler called himself such things. That is really not the kind of guy he is. If he has, then so what.

Other than that, I will support what Faetter BR said. That being said, I have no quarrels with Hamed - I rooted for Barrera, and I was surprised how well he fought Hamed. After that I felt kind of sorry for Hamed, that he was trapped in his own PR stunts.

That he stopped fighting so early on, is a sad thing for him, and his fans.

I don't remember anybody on this forum giving Kessler more credit than Nazeem. Where did you get this from?
