Showed he can take them good in the Ajose, Zab, and Devon fights but none of those fighters landed more than a couple hard clean shots. I think Soto got some off on him too and he takes them like a boss... However, that sort of competition doesn't stack up to Danny Garcia in terms of power, accuracy, or speed (perhaps Zab and Devon with speed) in my opinion. I pick Matthysse to win but not with the full confidence that most posters seem to have.
It was on youtube but seems to have to been deleted or the guy who posted it had his account suspended.Awesome back and forth action for the first 4 rounds Soto was putting his combinations beautifully and had Lucas back peddling in stages.Guess what though the guy packin the heat in his fists started to take control and eventually Lucas's punches became too much for Humberto and he went down. I see the same thing happening to Danny Garcia... Ill be very shocked if the fight goes the distance.
Garcia has that numbing power in his left hook. You might see Matthysse crumble if Garcia lands one perfect left hook on his chin.
Don't see it all,Danny has looked vulnerable and on the verge of being taken out in his fight with Zab and even Khan was busting him up before he got caught. If Lucas Matthysse has even half the amount of success those two had landing clean on Garcia he'l be eating the canvas before the sixth round.
Both guys punch with authority, nothing would surprise me in this fight. Danny will go down swinging, and Matthysse better be careful, I'm telling you.
It's good, really good. Actually, you can't be an aggressor, a slugger, without having a solid chin, and Matthysse isn't particularly skilled in the defensive department, he uses to stop punches with his faces, unfortunately for him; And the fact that have never been dropped so far, in spite of having ate monster punches, shows that his chin is safely iron. That doens't mean he cannot be ktfo, of course; he should really improve his defence, and work more with the jab, IMO.
Don't think either guy has ever been down, Garcia was shook up by Judah, Morales and Theophane though.
Lucas fought well but was inconsistent and gave away to many rounds vs the two savvy boxer punchers, when you force Lucas out his comfort zone he loses a large percentage of his effectiveness. Not sure why you can't see this but you do seem a bit off lol no worries your a fight fan so enjoy Saturday night.
