well like you said, he lacks all these skills that might impress you, ( i've seen him use some of those though) but he beats those great fighters equipped with the arsenals you just mentioned, now wouldnt that impress you? Or maybe possessing all those skills just isnt the sure way in getting to the top?
i believe he's saying who's the man right now at 130...Not Pac's fault that they moved up in weight by the time he arrived. He is still the man to beat at 130 right now, that's why everyone wants a piece of him even though he has no belt:deal
so you think marquez should be the man at 130 for beating whom? barrera, juarez, jaca? or maybe guzman for beating barrios or soto?
You beat two guys that are coming off L's from their previous fights and all of a sudden you become champion? that doesn't make any sense...
nope. he is definitely a mzonke fana fanboy. you know, the fana who fought two oh so galant and courageous rounds only to falter in the end against against a prime barrera. the fana who oh so dangerous malcolm kalssen to win the belt
So by beating MAB and EM that he's the man to beat? How is that? Thats just two guys and they weren't the lone champion at the time ... so why would he be considered the champ? where's the lineage? Yeah he's exciting to watch, but thats where it begins and ends. Both of guys he beat were 13 and 16 year veterans respectively at the time of their defeats ....
Barrera both times he lost to Pacquiao he was coming off a loss so that doesn't count. The first time he was coming off a loss to Morales and the second he was coming off a loss to Marquez. Morales was coming off a loss to Zahir Raheem at lightweight and really showed that he had nothing left in the tank -- especially at 130.
He beat Larios who is a super bantamweight and jumped 2 weight classes to fight Pacquiao ... Solis never fought on the elite level ... so who did he beat that was ranked at 130 legit? Eric Morales lost his ranking moving up to lightweight and Barrera lost his ranking and was semi-retired after a loss to Marquez. If he beats Marquez then we can talk about him being the man.
maybe pac should have fought fana to satisfy these belt loving boys. oh wait, marquez has a belt, if pac wins may he become the man at 130 then?
:rofl :rofl :rofl That right there proves your'e not even worth debating with as you dont even know your boxing. When Pac first beat MAB, MAB was on a career high coming off wins from Naseem Hamed, Morales, Tapia & Kevin Kelley. Comes along pacquiao and destroys him. Morales came in pudgy and undertrained at 135 for Raheem, what that does have to do with his supremacy at 130? As for the lineage title at 135, well Morales was the unified champ at 130 and arguably the man at that weight, MAB took it from him then JMM took it from him. Pac beat MAB no worser than the MAB JMM stole the titles off a few months before. The title is between Pac & JMM.
Barrera's first loss came when Pac moved up in weight...Pac was a big underdog and was given no hope in winning....Pac won convincingly. worst beating of MAB to some. MAB did come from a loss, from maybe the 2nd best man in that division and not just some bum. EM-PAC1, Pac lost by decision. The rematched happened and then the Third. PAC TKO. Had a Draw with JMM, judges' mistake (but we can disregard that if you want). Had some entertaining tune ups in between. Now give me a fighter in that division right now with the level of competition similar or even close to that.
Its the other way around, If JMM beats Pac, we can talk about him being the man. JMM's last fights are significantly lower than of Pac's.
No need for the links I know He won a couple of fights between his loss to Morales and his fight with PacMan.
How is that when he beat Barrera, Barrera hadn't lost since Pacquiao and he managed to win the WBC title from Morales, unify titles against Peden, fight a live dog in Juarez and have 5 title fights in 3 years. So Barrera had clout as top dog in the 130lb division. Marquez beat him and there was lineage ... after a loss to Marquez, he fights PacMan in a bull**** ass main event and undercard. All he did by beating Barrera the second time around was beat a guy that was already defeated.
