You can't really say Williams if he lost to the Guy Cotto destroyed. before the Cotto-Margarito would anyone say Williams should have been rated over Cotto? No way because Cotto destroyed Quintana, who in turn beat Williams. Now Margarito won in convincing fashion against Cotto, So he is the top dog right now. Simple as that.

I love how you Joyboy ****heads will say that Floyd was the champ at 147 when he didn't fight anybody worth a damn, yet on the flipside Tony isn't champ and he's faced 4 guys in the top 10.

Shows how dumb you joyboys really are.

Floyd was the recognized champ at 147 based on him beating the lineal champ. Cotto was not the lineal champ. And the two weren't the consenus no.1 and no.2 in the division. I really don't know under what standard Margarito would be considered the recognized champ.

If there is no recognized champ, (Mayweather retired), and Cotto was #1 with Margo being #2, I don't see how you wouldn't consider him champ?

What does he need to do? From what I understand, that's how they crown ring champions.

Because Clottey was up on the cards and had a comfortable lead going into the latter part of the fight and I think he was screwed out of a draw atleast.

No thats not true ... I like Pavlik, Calzaghe, Montiel, Ricardo Torres, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto ... I sure as hell didn't spend my hard earned money to watch Miguel Cotto lose.

Mayweather is the best fight of this crop of fighters out today and is the best fighter since 96' ... arguably the best fighter this generation has ever seen the last 20+ yrs.
