**** it sounds like it when you hate on the other fighters and agreeing with a Mayweather fan.

Floyd was the true champ at 147, then retired leaving the title vacant. Cotto was the #1 and Margarito the #3 (he lost to Williams).

When Margarito beat Cotto, he leapfrogged Williams to become #1, PW down to #2, and Cotto down to #3.

If Margarito beats Williams in a rematch then he is the champ. Until then he's the best welter in the world, but NOT the champ.

What are you talking about? Baldomir is a first ballot hall of famer. That is a big win. LOL

The guy is supposed to have 2 belts out of the four if he didn't vacate the IBF belt. And he beat the man on top so . . . how do you call him?

This thread wouldn't exist if Margarito had the guts to press Arum for a fight with Baldomir.

But how ****ed up would it have been for Baldomir to defend his linear title against Margarito on ESPN2?

I think Max and Dan were just running their mouths, there is no Welterweight Champ as far as I'm concerned. There won't be a champ until Paul Williams and Margarito fight, and their won't be an undisputed champ until four belts are collected, imho.

He can know boxing, agree with me and still not be a Mayweather fan ... he's just making a point and making sense.

Similar situation is when Barrera beat Hamed to become the true champ. If you accepted Barrera as featherweight champ then, then you have to accept Floyd as the champ then too.

However, Floyd is retired, meaning that Margarito and Williams are the only guys left with claim to the title.

If Williams moves up permanently, then Margarito has a stronger claim, but until then, his win over Cotto still doesn't erase his loss to Williams.

I don't give a **** about Mayweather. But if a Mayweather fan happens to to know what the **** I'm talking about, then so be it. I don't hate Margo either, but he shouldn't get the free pass of being considered the "Welterweight Champ" if there is another guy out there who still holds the belt that HE TOOK FROM HIM... And he doesn't seem too willing to try and get it back...

No one saying he is the champ but he is in front of the line to get the Ring Magazine belt.
