Only time will tell rather that win over Cotto means something or not ... it wasn't like he beat a prime Tito or something.

They meant number one welterweight which means the number one guy to try to get the Ring Magazine belt or I should say the number one guy who is in the running for it. I think if he fights Clottey next they should give him the belt.

I don't think you can classify ANY man as top Welter right now. Paul beat Margo. Paul lost to Quintana, who lost to Cotto. Paul then crushed Quintana in a rematch, and Margo beats down Cotto. Margo has accomplished more, but he also has an "L" on his head-to-head against Paul. They should fight it out before the media crowns him.

    Period.

It's OK to love your boy. He has a lot of qualities that are great for the sport. But you don't have to discredit other fighters, especially the only person recently who isn't afraid to fight him.

Was considered the number one welterweight though in the deepest division in boxing. :good

Your logic is flawed. Judah is #1. Baldomir beat him thus making him # 1 and Floyd beat him thus making him # 1. If you become #1 by beating #1 then Floyds claim was just as legitamite as margos

Welterweight isn't the deepest division in boxing ... you can't even name 10 legit welterweights worth watching.

The deepest division is the supermiddleweight division --

    Oh . . . coming from a dumb**** like you that's a compliment. :yep

If the guy who's suppose to have 2 belts cannot be called a Champ . . . what more a guy who has nothing. He was forced to vacate? The point is . . . he has no belt at present.

I keep telling you to prove what you know about boxing by joining the 2 fight pick threads in this forum . . . until now . . . what?

You chose to keep opening your big mouth exposing your ignorance and arrogance instead. :deal :D

Yeah but we are talking about the welterweight champ and who is in the running. Cotto was considered the number one guy and Margarito beat him then you said it doesnt mean ****.:nut

YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MARGO FACING PAUL AGAIN...

Why should he be given credit for beating a guy who he's already beaten, instead of a guy who has beaten him. That doesn't make sense! Are you Bob Arum in disguise?
