While watching the game last night a commercial came on announcing the next dancers of "dancing with stars" and floyd was one of them. He must not think too much of hatton or any opponent for that matter if he has time to dance on t.v. every week. When does he have time to train?? Anyone else think this is kinda nuts?
I dont know? He will get alot of exposure from being on the show and that may translate into more ppv buys. That is the second most popular reality show behind American Idol. And the workout might be beneficial in that it will keep him in peek condition. I guess we will see on December 8th.
Maybe Mayweather wants to be like Ray Robinson (who he claims he's better than), but at least Robinson retired before attempting a dancing career. It may be a good marketing move, but I personally don't think it's a good idea. From what I hear, that dancing competition is not exactly a walk in the park. It's a lot of hard work and time put in.
One of the dancers last year was Ali's daughter and shes in damn good shape but she said it mentally and physically drained her. Floyd and his camp must absolutely think that hatton is a total pushover--I dont know what else they could be thinking.
Sorry but I remember ALi saying it took 8 hours a day 6 days a week to be ready to "perform" on national T.V. so that you dont look like an idiot. Not too much training time there.
"This limy isn't going to dance with ya Rock, he's gonna try and break your ribs." I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting serious Foreman-Frazier echoes. Frazier was spending time singing with his band before the fight.
Even if it's 2 to 3 hours a day, I still don't think Floyd should do this. Hatton's no pushover. Floyd's a gym rat, but still might not be fully prepared mentally for the bout. If Mayweather loses and the dancing affected him, then it shouldn't be used as an excuse, but rather as a way to fault him for being overconfident.
Exactly what I was thinking MexicanJew. Hes not going to enter the competition with anything less in his mind but too win. With that being said--and being on national live t.v. every week---he might devote alot of time doing this and slack a little on the boxing. I gaurantee Hatton is happy to hear this though.
That exposure will cost him training ring time and im not saying I hate or like him but that will not be good for his upcoming bout. No way no how. Like I said--hatton has got to be rejoicing this news. Mayweather working on his spins and splits then pounding a heavy bag?? Come on now.
Wtf :huh wouldn't be stupid enough to get near you? why, cause you're some big bad ass on the internet? :rofl
