He is taking a risk no doubt. Most fighters wouldnt be able to pull something like that off. I think PBF should be able to get away with it because he already trains constantly anyways and probably weighs no more than 155 as we speak. Since he doesnt cut much water weight he is already in good shape and really just needs to work on a gameplan and strategy for Hatton, he is already at a high fitness level.

I also think he will still get the boxing training in. Hes a bit OD anyway so Im sure he feels he HAS to train. He manages to train in vegas which would be hard for most people to do. Winky came in the Hops fight looking like **** after training in vegas, he partied too much.

No they don't. They didn't even select the participants until a few weeks ago, and the first episode is on the 24th. I'm pretty sure that the competitive segments are filmed just a couple days before they're aired, and the results shows (where all the people have to do dance numbers again) are definately live.

I hope PBF doesn't sprain an ankle or something doing this. Still, if he's still training 4 - 6 hours a day for boxing and training 5 - 7 hours a day on dancing, it should help his conditioning, if anything. The other concern might be making weight. If the dancing (and the lifting up his dance partner, etc.) causes his weight distribution to shift by building out his legs and back, together with having gone up a bit in weight for his last fight, he might have more trouble than usual making weight. Usually it's never an issue for Floyd, but I could see it being the case this time.

They claim the show is live competition wise too.....just like Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. I believe the whole show is live.

i think the show actually helps PBF's conditioning...the dancing will keep PBF in shape, and he will still do a training camp before the fight...

Helping his stamina, yes, but ive never seen him run out of gas. If anything he would need to hit the bag some more and last time I checked I didnt think dancing was practicing pummeling your partner with a jab.
