As far as I can see, margarito has only fought 4 times above the catch weight of 151, which is only 4 fights out of 44.

So why is everybody saying pac is weight draining him?

Because they are Floyd fans just trying to rubbish anything to do with Pac because they are just as insecure as Floyd.

he's not. a lot of people have a problem thats its for the junior Middleweight title, yet its at a catch weight. But thats not his fault, Blame the sanctioning body for that.

But Margarito shouldn't be weight drained for this. he'll be a beast at 151

When u really look at it, its Pac who's at a disadvantage by fighting at that weight. He's hardly a WW, let alone a damn JMW. Margarito has the height, reach, and weight advantage, and will come in the ring weighing around 160 come fight time.

  6. but what if there's rehydration clause in the contract?

The weight isn't even the issue, it's the fact it's for a title at a higher weight limit.
Obviously pac is disadvantaged by size, but if he can't hang in the division, at it's limit, what the **** is he doing trying to be a champion in it?

This **** is a novelty act. The titles are turning into jokes and the accomplishments are becoming dubious.

Who is he going to defend the title against next? I bet it's not a guy allowed to weigh 154 then rehydrate.

    **** is absurd.

what I think the problem is people are looking at this fight in bad light because its at a catchweight, much the same with Cotto fight.

What they conveniently forget is that 151 is still at junior middleweight, in fact the fight could have a catchweight at 148 an still be a junior middleweight fight.

Too much sucking **** on their favourite fighters than looking at things objectively and having a rational debate.

You could say the same about Mayweather. Wins the title at 154 and then straight away vacates, as he seems to be more confortable at 147, but Mayweather could still campaign at 154, then again he only made 150 for the De La Hoya fight.

He won the title from a legit champion at the weightclass limit.

That is a legit credible win.

This is 2 unproven 154 fighters getting a vacant belt because manny pacquiao is a star and margarito is going to lose/works for arum.

    I agree with that.

But the fact remain Mayweather vacated straight away, just as I assume, Pacquiao will should he win.

Furthermore neither Pacquiao or Margarito should not be fighting for that title, Ryan Rhodes should be.

I guess by taking out Cheato's bricks he already removed 50lbs of concrete weight.

Margarito last fight was against Garcia at junior middleweight after an over a year layoff cause of the suspension. Now why Margarito fought at junior middleweight instead of an ww? Could it be cause he can't go down to ww anymore? Obviously Roach knows. If it's not the case then how come Pacquiao vs Margarito is not fighting at ww? <<<Can somebody please explain to me?

What if 'rehydration clause' is a completely made up concept that there is no evidence has existed in any previous Pacquiao contract (and plenty of reason to think that it hasn't...)?

This whole "catchweight" argument is irrelevant since most boxers are dehydrating and fighting outside of thier weight anyway. If the fight was held at WW, Marg would come in as a full blown MW come fight time. Same day weigh ins should be brought back. This is what's causing this whole catchweight mess. Fighters should fight in thier real weight class. Not damn near die from dehydration and starvation in order to gain an edge by fighting 1-2 weight classes beneath where they should.
