If it won't give some type of advantage, why have a catchweight at all? It's just stupid. Pac doesn't even need it to thrash Margarito, it's just to make Margarito worried in camp about making weight.

It's like going up to heavyweight and asking for a 230 catchweight with a Klitschko. "Oh, it's just to make things fair." Bull****, if you want to be the champ at the weight fight the guy at his weight.

Why would he be worried in camp about making a weight that is five pounds heavier than he weighed in two fights ago?

He is fighting him at his weight. As a matter of fact, Marg will be a MW by the time they step in the ring. Its not as if he's they're telling Margarito that he cant weigh 154 come fight time. 151 weigh in is within JMW limits.

He's not. PAC has a lot of haters and they can't figure out the best way on how to discredit PAC.....He's either draining his opponents with CATCH WEIGHTS....Picking on OLD or Shot fighters......Having his promoter FIX fights.......or Using special drugs to achieve the greatness he has.

My question is "why" would anyone think PAC is doping or using illegal drugs if he's picking on Shot, old or weight drained fighters? Just b/c Floyd said so?:think

With or without the drugs PAC should be able to win fights that are "FIXED" as they claim in the Josh fight or surely beating up a corpse wouldn't require the "A SIDE OF MEFF".:rofl

This **** we got going on here on the ESB boards are borderline.......:verysad

  6. so u think de la hoya wanted to weigh 147 on fight night? the normally hydrated de la hoya would have wrecked pacquiao. he would have scared him into staying at 140 and below.

De La Hoya wasn't dehydrated. He had been under 147 for weeks, as he said himself. Laughable that people just ignore the actual facts.

The De la Hoya **** is the one you clearly know is bull****. Even neglecting the fact that no boxing comission would sanction a fight with a rehydration clause lets look at the one fact that makes this impossible. It was Pac against the ****ing Golden Boy. Pac who only got 40% of the purse and was only a decent draw at the time somehow managed to talk ODLH the biggest draw in the sport to have a rehydration clause? Think about that for a second. ODLH could have really chosen any opponent and banked and yet he would chose the one opponent demanding a clause that could kill him. Just ask yourself what leverage could Pac possibly have and when you find the answer is none you'll see why its bull****.

Life's not fair, ever heard of it?

But I have to agree he's cheating history by fighting for the title. But I don't blame the promoter for doing this. They need to market this fight with a hype like that to make more decent money and every little selling point will help to get the job done.

Holy...you honestly believe that DLH wasn't dehydrated? Freddie Roach himself said he saw fresh IV marks on DLH's arm. DLH had to actually lose muscle to make 147 and then was so concerned with making the weight that he depleted his body until he looked like a lollipop by the time the fight came.

Making weight takes time out of a training camp and a lot of energy from fighters. Any wrestler/MMA guy/boxer will tell you this. If it's really irrelevant, why would they ask for a catchweight at all? He's going to weigh the same on fight night, right?
