Wlad is the "Super" champ.
Povetkin is the "Regular" champ.

Wlad is "super" champ (i.e. the real champ), Povetkin is the "regular" champ (i.e. someone they're milking money out of) and the WBA is a goddamn joke.

There are many versions of a world championship . It is ridiculous, I understand, but it doesn't happen only with Povetkin. In the majority of the WBA divisions they have super and regular champions. In some there are also interim champions :yep

 

Povetkin's belt is really just a glorified WBA ranking. He should stop paying them and do a Bowe and toss the belt into the trash.

 

I've had to explain this to people that don't watch a lot of boxing. Embarrassing.

 

Povetkin's belt is a joke. If he's not going to challenge Wladimir he needs to mail it back to him.
