Definitely the most polished fighter of Maravilla's career, but not with the worst style. Martinez's game is suited to beat jabbers working in straight lines, he offers no stationary target, has very fluid in movement, works the angles well and can slip & counter. Sergiy must control range as he needs a certain distance to work that amazing jab, and I'm excited how successful can be and what strategy Martinez will choose. Oumaneuvre the jabber like early vs. Pavlik or cut the distance off the jab like late vs. Kelly? Maybe he'll try both, but to what success? Very nice clash of technical abilities, and I expect a Razor sharp Dzinziruk to show up.

A big difference is that Martinez like Dzinziruk isnt a true MW. If it was Hopkins it would be Hopkins fighting another naturally smaller fighter. Still it would have been a better match up than Robert Allen

Difficult to look good defensively vs Miranda??? Are you joking??? Pavlik never gooded good defensively and Dzirzurik's comp is good enough to realize he has a good defence and he's not just fighting guys with no arms.:patsch

You clearly never seen Dzinzurik fight that is very clear. You also need to get off of Pavlik's nuts.

actually, the only fight i have seen with dzin is the julio fight on youtube. i do not believe he was ever offered a tv fight in the states. i just don't see anything special about him. he really cannot even proclaim to be on felix sturms level.

as for KP, he had an incredible run. he beat edison miranda in his prime, the same miranda that broke AA's jaw in a brutal war. Then JT twice, also in his prime.

miranda in his prime would in all likelihood destroy Dzin. JT would have schooled him as well. And you are entirely missing my point. its not very difficult to look good fighting Julio but against prime Miranda and JT, that is a different story.

your putting a lot of faith on Dzin. If he had power i might too as i am always looking for value underdogs but i think the line is fair. i dont even know if i'm going to make a small play on this guy. i see more value in the mayorga/cotto under 9.5 rounds at -150 and mayorga +650.

good luck with your pick, Cash. I know the feeling of being right on a +375. It's very exciting. I had Big Foot and Werdum against Fedor at +300 and +450, respectively.

Then again, I lost it all on Margarito at +650.
