Does he? I sure as **** would like to see it. Unfortunately, Floyd will probably go on to fight some no-hoper like Pacquiao instead. :yep
Seriously??? Besides Martinez has been beating up top ranked LMW and MW for the past 3 of so years. Mayweather -Martinez is a more intriguing fight than Mayweather-Pacquiao now.
Martinez was in Agentina beating guys losing records for years. Martinez then gets a fight with Margs and gets KTFO. Martinez beats Cintron, but somehow the fight gets called a draw. Martinez then continues to fight in obscurity until, his LOSS to Paul Williams put him on the map. He lucky punches Williams out in the re-match, beats a drunk who was struggling to make weight, then beat a no name Euro moving up from 154, a few other no names, then beat Chavez jr, who many people feel didn't deserve to be in the position he was in the first place. So yeah, I'll ask too, what is so great about Martinez? I'd personally like to see him go to 168 to fight Ward since a lot of people feel Sergio is some elite talent. Ward is probably smaller than Chavez jr or at least the same size, Pavlik is bigger than both Ward and Chavez jr, so why not? Well other than the fact that Ward isn't a stationary punching bag and has actual skill.
I find it odd that you describe fighters like Macklin and Barker, both top 10 (at least) middleweights "no names". Dzinziruk was unbeaten, and a top LMW,a division Martinez had fought up until around a year previously. The drunk you refer to was a former undisputed middleweight champion. Odd indeed.
