I'm thinking of subscribing to the Boxnation stream as I only have Freeview and Sky Go. Is it a reliable good quality stream? HD? I probably wouldn't even question it and sign up straight away if the online stream subscription was cheaper. Normally I have to stream fights on other websites but it is unreliable at best.

I subscribe to the Boxnation streaming service and the quality is not great to be honest. It's not HD, and often doesn't even count as SD. Domestic shows seem to be much worse than the overseas broadcasts.

Typically I'll be watching a UK show and the picture quality will be reasonable, but then it will suddenly deteriorate to the point that you can't even read the round indicators on the screen. The quality varies from minute to minute.

Then there's the freezing. The stream will lock up for a few seconds, maybe longer on a bad day. When it unfreezes it carries on where it left off, which means it doesn't take long before the stream is a long way behind the actual live transmission. You can refresh, but you'll miss the action.

I sometimes give up and turn to alternative viewing methods, which are usually more reliable.

If you have a Sky dish and can get your hands on any kind of Sky box - you can get boxnation without a subscription of any kind.

I don't subscribe to sky, but with one of their freesat cards for 20 pound or so you can order Boxnation through that.

They should make an Xbox app, I'm in the same boat completely.

Apparently £175 from Sky to get Sky Freesat set up. But cheaper if you get the stuff second hand and do it yourself.

Yeah I was lucky enough when I moved in my house it already had a dish, and an old box under the stairs. All I had to do buy some cables and wires and sorted.

That's ****. No incentive to actually go legit and give them my money then as it sounds no better/maybe worse than the likes of Guru or whatever.

I would happily give them my money if it worked like Sky Go, which is excellent through the Xbox onto my big TV.
