    GGG
    Cotto
    Quillin
    Martinez
    Soliman
    Lee
    Geale
    NJikam
    Lemiuex
    Jacobs
    Eubank
    Murray
    Rubio
    Monroe
    BJS
    Murata
    Korobov
    Adama
    Centeno
    Magomedov
    Chudinov
    Kyrtov
    Harrison
    Mora
    Charlo
    Johnson
    Khurtsidze
    Douglas
    Soro
    Szili
    Kopeylenko

    In NO particular order.

Then you got LMWs like Lubin, Andrade, Charlo, Martirosyan, Canelo, Trout, Cotto, Adams, Lara, Clottey, Basangarov,Williams, Maciel

The 154-164 types are very strong.

You could technically throw Bradley, Porter, and Thurman into that mix as well since theyre draining to fight at WW when their bodies are clearly suitable for LMW, MW.

There are literally dozens of others from 147+ who are young strong slick or highly skilled fighters who will undoubtedly find themselves in the top 20 of 154-160 in the next 2-3 yrs.

All of the named and unnamed fighters would be legacy enhancing fights for a fighter like GGG who has, and can continue to forge his way to greatness in a single weight division.

If GGG beats 10+ of the listed fighters, 10 others who are/will be legitimate LMW/MW contenders in the following 5 yrs, I could see GGG finishing his career 55-0 50+ KOs, and being the p4p GOAT.

Not at all saying it's gonna happen. Chances are he'll move up to SMW for a big fight vs Froch or Chavez and bequeath the division to Lemiuex, Kyrtov, Harrison, Lubin and/or Canelo.

But if he chooses to stay at MW......I think it would take someone like Errol Spence or Sadam Ali, forging a Mayweather/Pac type legacy, then moving up and eeking out a decision win over a 37-39 y/o GGG.:think

Generally, most nostalgia fans, racists Afro-American fans, American nationalist fans, and Eastern Euro haters(Brit@rds and Muricans, and a few Latinos) make up the largest portion of the forums, and since a caucasoid is currently the best MW, and a top 5 p4p, the division is being called weak due to it's Champion being so much better than his LOC.:patsch

Its weak. And im a Golovkin fan.

When a shot JWW can capture the lineal title you know a division really aint up to much.

I agree that's why they SAY it's weak.

When there's a BRIT or an American at the top of a division, it's generally called a strong division. Or when it's a bunch of 60lb jockey sized Asians/Hispanics. Those are always the strongest divisions.

But I think those generalizations are based on racism and not on FACT.

My opinion is that GGG could move up or down and dominate either division, but by standing his ground at 160, he's essentially saying, If Hagler could do it, I can do it. :good

The title was ONLY on the line due to a missed call by a ref.

And if Duran had beaten Hagler, would his division been considered weak. Was the LWW Leonard a WEAK MW titlist.:patsch:patsch:patsch

There are lots of good middleweights. Just not many that are more than "pretty good". Golovkin the only current one.

every time an EE fighter is dominant the division they are fighting in is labeled "weak"

The racism in boxing knows no bounds

same can be said about HW and especially CW, where you have at least 8-10 world class fighters

Its really nothing to do with race, nationality etc.. The general consensus around here was Martin Murray was #2 at MW after GGG beat him, no offense to MM as he's a good fighter and a tough SOB but if he can be considered #2 of a division theres no way that division could be considered anything but weak

Murray arguably should have had the IBF and WBC world titles on his waist entering that fight, along with an almost unblemished record.(Khomitshky problems):yep

That backs up my point, in a strong division a guy like Murray wouldn't get close to 2 world titles
