How Jackson was an OK opponent for Lewis, but Ruiz is an "awful" opponent for AJ?

Andy Ruiz Jr. is better than Jarrell Miller, that's the best I can say for him.

Yes, Lewis was criticized by boxing community back then, but I'm talking about current period when some people act like he was the saint and never had bad opponents in his tilte reigns.

Every fighter has crappy defences from time to time but make no mistake this is a crappy little interest defence.

cant remember how jackson got the fight

was he a don king fighter ?

i remember it was in amaerica in a low key fight in front of a moderatley small quiet crowd

in the run up to the fight it was all about phil jackson some basketball manager who i had never heard off being the name and not phil jackson the fighter

Lewis was lambasted for facing Jackson and in the fight itself. He was arguably Lewis weakest title opponent, and shouls really have been a non title staybusy. If you have the title long enough some feel you are entitled to an easy one as a break...but at that point lewis hadnt been at the top long.

It's not Joshua's fault Miller pissed hot.
It's also not his fault Wilder won't fight him.

tihng is,Miller is a more ridiculous opponent than PHil Jackson, so AJ has no get out of jail here.

But tis true what you say.

kinda because people reflect on the whole body of his work now, rather than one fight at a time. With that hindsight you canforgive him a Phil Jackson.

But if he'd retired in 95 then it would have been seen as a way of artificially extending/faking his title career.

I dislike AJ, but this is a late replacement for someone who was fairly decent -- Miller.

    It's not AJ's fault.

Although Ruiz is indeed god awful. No idea what people see in him.
