Wilder should be the favorite but it’s a toss up in my opinion. Ortiz is crafty and his skills are superior to Wilders. Deontay has the advantages of youth, speed and power. If Wilder can control range and pick his shots from the outside he should be able to win a UD or catch Ortiz coming in for a KO. If Ortiz is able to get around the long jab of Wilder and shorten up the distance I believe Ortiz’s counter punching earns him a decision on the cards.

I also question Wilders knock out power not being what it is touted as being

What solid, top opponent has he knocked out cleanly?

I have an awful feeling about it being fixed,Ortiz with his skills should have plenty to show Wilder up in there but that last fight with an overweight shot Stiverne who came to lose sticks in my mind.
Just wanna both at the best they be,I’ve had Wilder to win this for ages and I also had him beating Povetkin.

Al Haymon is the ones making the decisions if they even fight.

Al is a businessman his job is to make as much money for as little risk.

This fight makes NO SENSE from a business standpoint

Unless al knows something we dont

It's the #4 and #5 HW's in the world squaring off. It is a big fight. I'm not going to change my mind now; Ortiz for the win. But if I'm in charge of making odds for the fight, I don't make him a heavy favorite.

Remember, Wilder has HAYMON BOXING INSURANCE! Haymon will decide the winner of this fight, there is no way Haymon would put Wilder in the ring with Old Man Ortiz if it was not fixed.................if the fight is not fixed, I will be shocked. If it is not fixed Ortiz will knock Wilder bout, but Wilder has HAYMON BOXING INSURANCE!

Wilder is fast and I like his confidence, but his body type looks like he would not take a big punch. Just the theory of absorbing a punch. He looks too thin to take a big punch. I actually think Lennox Lewis of 1999 or 2000 knocks out Wilder in 2 or 3 rounds. But I like Wilder and he has made the division more exciting with his confidence. I think he can beat Ortiz. And think Wilder needs a lot of experience, and if he can get 5 more fights with more experience he can really improve.
