It's great to see a NZ heavy weight champion, but Hughie will put on a masterclass and outbox Parker, no problem at all. Parker's only chance is if he lands a lucky shot, otherwise he's in for a long night because there's no way he outboxes Hughie.
let's be real here, the only reason Fury wanted this fight in the UK is so he can rob Parker of his title. with help of UK judges.
If Hughie decides to do what Cojanu did and basically have his main game plan be to try and stop Parker from being able to knock him out using his reach, which also means avoiding getting into any kind of fight then yeah - Fury will probably avoid getting knocked out but also like Cojanu - avoid getting involved enough to have any chance of getting involved in the fight, let alone winning. Hughie will have to take risks if he hopes to win this, other tall people who have tried to legit win are the ones who have been knocked out. I can see the potential for Fury to outbox Parker from range, but also don't count out Fury finding the reality that Parker is more dangerous than he looks from a safe distance at some point in the fight and getting a bunch more negative - if he survives the event which he would otherwise realise its not as easy as it looks. It is a really interesting match up which has the potential to be boring, but also has the potential to be quite the match up and whoever wins it is definitely has to earn the claim as being a legit title holder - surely?
Hughie got dropped sparring with a slab of meat in a butcher's shop. He won't get within a bull's roar of the Kiwi colossus. And that's if he shows up for the fight. Parker may have to send out a search party in Manchester on fight night in order to find him. Expect to see Hughie do a runner after the weigh-in or go down like a wounded elephant during the pre-fight instructions.
I hope Parker knocks out Fury dead cold for messing around, delaying this fight and etc. Fury pretty much forced Parker to come to the UK even though Parker is the champ.
AND Parker's team won the purse bid fair and square, then forked out to organise already. Basically Team Fury tried to stuff over Team Parker financially knowing they HAD to fight the mandatory and they went balls deep financially to win the bid and organise things last time. Team Fury actually said before Hughie pulled out that they were intending to do everything they could to bring it to the UK, despite them having absolutely no right to... but look what happened. I hope Parker wrecks Hughie, he certainly deserves to.
