Let me guess, fighters suddenly got credible a few short years later just before the time of Foreman and Lyle

you don´t have to go to foreman, the jump was huge between liston and clay, liston was the past, the bully of the late 50s.

don´t forget to delete the answers that could expose your comments like the bunch of **** that it is.

then prime liston weighed 215 , prime ali 74 weighed 216 and prime foreman 217, they were all close in size right? you are one of the biggest idiots on this forum, a poor pathetic old man full of insecurities

3-2-1 was my card for Ali.

Liston has several advantages over his predecessors. He was bigger, had a much longer reach, and good offensive skills.

This puts smaller heavies at a disadvantage, and it's magnified by Liston being an all time puncher with what looks to be a solid chin.

Liston's resume is a little on the weak side, and it's not all his fault.

He didn't fight one puncher with a chin. He never fought a fleet-footed boxer who can jab and beat him to the punch ( Outside of all of the course ) , nor did he ever get off the mat to win.

For all of Sonny's talents, he wasn't very good at cutting off the ring and he cut and swelled easily.

Pre-1963 I think Jeffries, Dempsey, Louis, Tunney, and Marciano would be the best picks to beat him.

I agree. Ali boxed Sonny to an absolute standstill. Sonny was mentally and physically beaten. His surrender prevented the inevitable stoppage that undoubtedly awaited Liston.

If Liston tore his shoulder he tore it missing punches Clay made him miss. He would not have got through his medical if it was that bad before the fight.

Sonny even got a shot at hitting a blinded Ali, and Liston used two hands trying to knock him out that round.

Ali had his number. Sonny's assets were simply not as significant against a confident opponent with desire, a comparable reach and faster hands.

Put Foreman in with Clay and the jump would have been huge as well for mine. Foreman wouldn't hit him.

Foreman weighed 217 1/2 in the biggest win of his career over Frazier.

Ali weighed 216 1/2 the night he schooled Foreman's.

Liston weighed 213 and 215 1/2 in his legendary annihilations of Patterson.

Comprehension not your strong point? Actually no need to answer that

I bet you picture peak Foreman 6 feet 5, around 265 rock hard pounds, all chiselled and muscular with a monster bulge in those trunks just screaming out your name :good

1Foreman would have been a much much harder test for the style of a green clay, foreman did cut the ring pretty well, liston was walking in circle around the ring like an idiot.

2 you picked differenT Weights of different stages of their careers in order to insinuate the they were similar in size, you forgot to mention that ali was a 175 pounder in the amateurs, and his lowest weight in his prime was 201 and weighed 210 for his biggest prime win against liston.(Still you used the weight of a past prime ali in his 30s packed of extra mass).liston in his 20s weighed even 198 pounds(foreman could make this weight maybe when he was 15).in his prime weighed between 206-210 ,at that weight he looked faster and better,at 215 he was ponderous and at 218 was a ballon.foreman weighed 226-230 in the amateurs at 19 and At 217 was drained and looked very slim without any mass,he looked strong cause his natural big frame .curiously you forgot to mention that he weighed a much more natural 225 pounds in his peak fight against norton in his early 20s and everyboDy knows that when you get older you get naturally heavier, foreman in his late 20 barelly could make the weight just under 230 pounds when liston looked inflated and overweight at 218 being close to his 40s.even as troll you are garbage

The stupidest thing that i did read ever "he weighed 217 for his best win ,so it was his prime weight"

Ali was not in his prime vs foreman and 216 pounds was not his best weight dumb ****,but still foreman is his best win.

What if foreman did beat evander in his 40s? Was 256 pounds his prime weight? Uh re****? Lmao

Lets do a quick simple test to see if we can truly find stupid.

You have used inverted commas to quote the text in red.

Who said this and where can i find the sentence?

Let's see what you've got. You've quoted it, lets boogie.

the debate was who was naturally bigger dumb ****, and you argued that they were similar ,you conveniently chose weights and you said that they were close in size, you are trash lmao, it is like saying, joe frazier weighed 214 pounds vs foreman in 1973 , then tyson weighed 215 for holmes, tyson and frazier weighed the same, you are a ****ing idiot:hi:

So you can't supply this quoted statement? You put forward a very specific set of quoted words and i put forward an extremely easy to follow request to produce them.

    Put up or shut up.

Machen and Patterson weren't fleet footed and couldn't jab? Ditto Harris, have you ever seen Marty Marshall fight?
He didn't get off the mat to win?
So now he's penalised for having a good chin?

How many fights was Liston cut in?
