    Deontay Wilder vs Wladimir Klitschko
    Deontay Wilder vs AJ
    Tyson Fury vs Usyk

    Is it useful for boxing?
Would boxing in the 70s have been so popular, if the situation had been the same?

Of course, boxing would be more popular, but not all great fights happened in the 70s, either. It wasn't as bad as now but at HW:

    No Frazier vs Norton
    No Foreman vs Ali II
    No Frazier vs Shavers
Ali refused to fight Bobick at the height of Bobick's popularity, unless Bobick defeated Norton. So no fight between the most popular white fighter vs Ali at the time.

Of course, not all big fights happened in the 70's. The 70s were just an example.
I could cite 30s as an example, and I thought about it.
