On a whim I watched 3 fights this morning.

    1. Gatti v. DeLaHoya
    2. Gatti v. Mayweather
    3. Gatti v. Gomez

There are so many more including the obvious epic wars with Micky Ward & Ivan Robinson, etc.

All I kept thinking as I was watching these fights was,
"This guy is in for some serious problems down the road" It's different going back and watching these fights on tape. You're so wrapped up watching it live that you really don't stop to think. The guy was literally a heavy bag with legs. I hope I'm wrong but I think this guy is doomed to a punch drunk life.

Moronic. Show some respect to a guy who gave his all to the game. He wasn't on the level of ODLH or PBF but was a world champion and fought in arguably 6 of the most exciting fights of the last decade.

I wanted Gatti to retire years ago.

Seriously how could you watch his fights and not worry that he'd end up brain damaged?

Robinson fights, Ruelas, Manfredy, Rodriguez, DLH, Mayweather, Baldomir, Gomez, Ward.

There were calls for him to retire after the Manfredy fight.

I always worry about the health of fighters like Morales, Brewster, Toney (whom I picture has many gym wars), Holyfield, and especially Mesi when he has a prizefight.

my prayers always go out for Gatti's health......i cringe at the memories of his fights and haven't been able to rewatch any of them. i was hoping he'd hang up the gloves a few yrs ago. the mayweather fight did it for me.

We all go into boxing knowing very well the consequences of the sport...but our bravdo takes over no matter how many fights you have or how old you are.....but them I think of the likes of LaMotta , Basillio, SRL, Duran..that were in incredible wars and came unscape, but then I see Meldrick Taylor, Aaron Pryor, Wilfred Benitez, Tommy Hearns and see the flip side of that
