The commentators provided a slew of positive commentary for both fighters. Accolades were given to Lara for his boxing skill set and counter abilities while Hurd was commended for his relentlessness and and energy. How is it that some people can cloud themselves with so much disdain that they miss the overall quality of the event.

One day you’ll pull yourself out of this pessimistic mindset and realize everything that doesn’t go your way wasn’t formulated that way just to sabotage disrupt your comfort zone. You love your favorite fighters firsts before your passion for the sport and that’s a problem.

Great I just wasted 5 minutes of my life because I’ll never receive a rational concrete response just a random post claiming Wlad was drugged versus Byrd or that Ward won because he paid off weeks to allow him to crush the Krushers nads.

At least Cheeseburger Jr had some defensive skills but I can see Hurd facing a guy his size and getting into big trouble

Hurd's a lot better at picking off punches and keeping his head off the line than JCCJ is. C'mon now.

I strongly disagree with rating Hurd as no. 3 in the division. It just doesn’t make any logical sense when gathering all the visible data. At the very least you’d have to consider him no.2 and an argument could be made for him sitting at the top of the division all alone.

Ras rates Artur Grigorian as a top all-time lightweight, it should be noted.

    At 154?

How do you justify rating Hurd at #6 even if you think he’s a plodding c+ fighter he has 2 wins that fall within the the top 10 of the division and 3 or the 5 recognized belts? Personal preference and subjectiveness dosent play a role when appropriately evaluating the divisions top fighters. Let’s stick to the facts and tangible evidence please.

Understood, your ranking methodology is still predicated on preference and conceptual thinking. I can respect it but it holds no weight in a argument between two people attempting to solidify a 154lb ranking. Andrade is talented but frustratingly inactive and I believe he will campaign at middle weight soon, Vans has no real credible wins and several loses at the top of the division. Forget about ginger at 154lbs. Hurds wins versus Trout and Lara were clear in my opinion and he “beat them up” in the process which is impressive since Trout and Lara aren’t the easiest guys to lay a ton of leather on even slightly faded versions of them.
