Shiming has gotten a lot better than his talent level deserves. Name me one other fighter who isn't even top 10 in his division who briefly held a belt, gets to headline events, and be on tv in front of 30 million people. Loma and Murata just strike me as protected chickens.

 

Donaire is a shadow of what he was, but that is still a hell of a scalp. It makes perfect sense seeing as how they are both under the same promoter too. Cash out Donaire and build up Lomachenko. I don't know why Arum didn't apply that formula to Crawford and Pacquiao.

 

I'm talking about Selby, not Russell. What does Russell have to do with this conversation? If you mean that Russell fought Lomachenko; therefore, Selby can fight Lomachenko you are wrong.

Russell was trying to get ahold of his first belt, and the WBO mandated they both fight for the vacant title. Gaymon only lets his guys fight outside the roster, most times, when it's mandated.

 

Same old story, the nonsense of the pro game destroying an athletes career by wasting their prime. Lomachenko is too good for his own good, he is too determined to achieve his goals (unifying featherweight) for his own good. He should fight anyone at any weight, he'll be giving himself a disadvantage but he's good enough to do it.
