use to stay in the gym atleast 3-4 hours. never wanted to leave until i was completly satisfied wit my work out.
2 hours in the gym monday to saturday. half an hour to an hour jog every other day. average about 13-14 hours a week. used to do wait training to but now just do body weight stuff at boxing. Bear in mind i don't have a full time job so its alot harder to do this when ur working 9 to five.
About 2.5 to 3 hours most of the time. Not everything is at a high pace, I include my bike ride to and from the gym in this time. Gym time is 1.5 to 2 hours.
5 days a week, altogether daily average=2-3 hours. 4 of those days I do boxing/ martial arts at my house as my first workout. About 30-45 minutes. Do a little bit of abs those days as well. All 4 of those days I also lift for my 2nd workout. On my upper body days (hard days) I only lift. Whenever I do legs though I also run/ swim. Day 5 workout is going to an MMA place, and boxing/ rolling for about 2 hours. I do NOTHING this day cept spar, or roll for 2 hours. So, taking 2 days off, and the days I take off I LOAD UP with everything I can possibly eat. Trying to put on more weight so it's nothing for me to eat 6-8 times on the days I'm off.
3 - 5 hours a day, 5 - 6 days a week, it depends really. I'm not doing much until university next September, so the last 14 months I have been training my ass off... When I lived in Thailand it was 7 hours a day, 6 days a week + running for an hour on the 7th day
In the gym id say around 2 1/2 to 3 hours. My days usually consist of coming in and maybe warming up on the bike then doing some bagwork or have a roll with another JiuJitsu guy then its BJJ training and a striking class Boxing or Muay Thai. Sometimes on Thursdays not tonight but others ill go 3 1/2 hours I do my regular training then compete for a half hour. When I run its usually about 45 minutes to an hour.
Thats the **** i want to be doing !!!! i cant wait to be in thailand!!! train like a moofoooo!!!! I train 1.5(sometimes 2 hours) hours a day muay thai + 45 mins(some time 1 hour) a day of jogging/intervals/bodyweight stuff, so roughly two and a half hours a day + 9 to 5 job....
build up. i started 1.30 hours three times a week no more. The more you train the fitter you get so the more you can push yourself, imo training should never be easy therefore the more you train the more you should push yourself or you aint doing it right...
I think you are right in stating that the more you train the more you should push yourself but in my opinion it really depends on the intensity of your training. Bernard Hopkins trains 2 hours in the gym daily so I guess 2 hours is enough but I bet the intensity during these 2 hours is way above what some people normally do
was use to intense wrestling training during highschool. just couldnt get enough of a workout unless i stayed there that long.
the gym I go to is only open three times a wek so Id spend 3 hours each day I went there. 3 other days Id train about 1.5 hours each day doing conditioning, light skill sessions and strength workouts.
Week 1: Same, I remember the first day I ever did kickboxing, was 45 minute lesson and I was in pain for two days after (think I was about 15/16). Week 3: About two weeks later I began doing two lessons a week. Month 2: A few months after that I began training both lessons and then about an hour after each lesson with my friends doing bag work and sparring. Month 6: Began training 3-4 days a week for 2 hours a session (had first competitions around now). Month 9: Began running for 30 minutes in the morning and training 4-5 days a week. 2/3 Years: Moved to Thailand and trained 6:00am till 8:30am and then 4:00pm until 7:00pm, 6 days a week. 4 Years: Back in the UK. Morning I try to run 30 minutes, skip 3 x 3, shadow box with weights 3 x 3, punch bag 3 x 3, kicks bag 3 x 3. Evening I do an hour technique based lesson / sparring and then I pretty much repeat the morning minus the run.
