How long can Wilder legally hold onto his 3rd fight for? I'm curious if anyone knows. This crap is going to ruin everything.
It isn’t Wilder, but the promoters (both sides) that aren’t interested in the third fight without fans in attendance (live gate money), so both sides are purposely prolonging this until they get the green light to have paying fans in attendance. Fury on the otherhand seems to be saying anything he can to keep the public even a little interested in the third, but I don’t think even Fury can do it considering how easily he destroyed Wilder in the rematch.
Dont be surprised if Wilder has a tune up in-between and struggles or *gasps* loses. It's all downhill from here for the fraud.
It's not Wilders fault that no one wants to have this happen and forfeit the live gate that would otherwise come along with it
Damn Covid has ruined 12 months worth of heavyweight fights I think Wilder sitting and reflecting on his losses is WORSE for him. Even if he's been training which I doubt you can't AGAIN try to build up mental confidence in something you don't have. He's lucky Fury smothered half his work and didn't managed to land a flat KO shot after round 3. Fury never lost respect for his power even though it wasn't there anymore. Rematch Fury should be able to setup a much cleaner finish. If he has Wilder hurt again circling on the ring ropes I fully expect Fury to have a much nicer combination setup ready. Fury still has a lot of work to do with his uppercuts. Right up close in the clinch he is great at sneaky them in, but in the pocket he needs to master it instead of throwing arm punches. If he learns to get under his uppercut jesus christ.
