How long does Firpo last against a young Mike Tyson

12 rounds, winning a clear UD.

 

About as long as he did with Dempsey

 

He gets blasted inside of a round.

 

I'd say 2 rounds tops

 

Prime Tyson gets arrested for murder after a less than a round massacre. Than lynched if he fought him during the time of his fight with Dempsey...

 

Firpo wouldn't floor Tyson. Tyson in 1 or 2.

 

Why the hell would he get lynched? Lots of black fighters KOed contenders.

Never said he would, it was a fluke he floored Dempsey, and Tyson was better defensively.

Tyson in 1 or 2 is about as long as Dempsey took.

Tyson would win by stoppage, somewhere between the first round and the sixth round.

 

Possibly, but we've come a long way since that time, unfortunately we still have a ways to go. Just a little hangman's humor to deal with the insanity of that time frame in this country.

 

Firpo would be lucky to last as long as Marvis Frazier did.

 

Bear in mind that the only person to stop Firpo in any meaningful context, was Dempsey himself.

The guy obviously had a very solid beard.

Now 1-2 round stoppages are very rare at the highest level, and usually depend upon a number of factors coming together.

Even if you think that Tyson was better than Dempsey, it doesn't necessarily mean that he will get the job done more quickly.

Perhaps Firpo might drag it out longer than people think?
