Do they sleep in for the next 3 days?

I'd be on all sorts of pain meds and shut my door..

It all depends on who their next opponent is going to be

Obviously, it depends on how the fight went. I heard Pac was curled up for a week after Margarito. Really brutal fights might take up to a month. Then you have fights in which injuries occur, bad cuts, broken jaws, eyes sockets and noses or whatnot. That might take several months.

This varies on a lot of things. Depends on the fighters body recovery time, injuries sustained, etc.

Not 6 months to a year like most guys take off. Players in the NFL take more of a beating and play 10x more a year then any boxer.

That statement is way off the mark. NFL players take more of a beating? Getting your head hit 150 times in one night takes a lot to equal. Even a jab can snap your head back, let alone a hook or a straight.

Also they need to recover from training camp. You can see by a boxers physique that no other athlete trains as intensely as they do.

The two sports are not comparable.....boxing is the most brutal sport bar none. It can take you a hell of a long time to recover...it can be the small things especially that take a long time.

I over extended my elbow when I threw a punch and I didnt think nothing of it 12 months later and the thing was still killing me.

I would say around 3 - 4 months to be fully healed from a 12 round fight a little less if you are lucky.

If it was a 12 round war with big punchers they'd defintly be bed bound and likely stay in hospital overnight.

Getting punched in the head leads to swelling on the brain

Which is the biggest unseen and dangerous damage done

Superficial damage (cuts, bruises) heals within a few weeks and they go back to their normal body fat level and walk around weight within 3-4 weeks.
Then they have 1-2 months off doing whatever they like before finally back into training for their next fight.

Broken bones torn ligaments and torn muscles take a good month or more to heal. Rarely occur in a fight however. Maybe some broken hand bones and slightly pulled muscles (reduced through proper streching and warm up)

How long is a piece of string?

Depends what kind of fight it was, how long it lasted, how often they got hit and how hard and.. etc etc etc

And to recover for what? Their next fight? Or when they can start training again? Sometimes it can take weeks only to suck a dick again, ask Victor.
