How long does it take to go from complete novice to being good enough for 1 fight?

    Thanks for the replies everyone. Any tips on what to look for in a gym & trainer, and how to learn most effectively?

    All i can say is it depends.

    Hell the youngest pro world champ ever was 17 when he won it and there have been people to win a world title in their 3rd pro fight but then again there are still 30 yr olds around the world training for years and still haven't had an amatuer bout so it really all depends on you, how fast you learn and how hard you train.
