How long has HBO coutdowns been going on?

    Did it start for every PPV fight in the 80's and 90's or did it start in 2000's. Let me know just interested :good

    They had Countdown-esque shows for Leonard/Hagler, Lewis/Tyson, Vargas/De La Hoya, etc. But the actual series "HBO Countdown to..." started around 2005.

    Thanks yall I seen a set of coutdowns I want to buy, but I was wondering if it's complete. I believe it starts with Floyd vs Gatti :good

    It's either Mayweather-Gatti or Trinidad-Wright. I remember seeing a Trinidad-Wright special, but I'm not sure if it was done by HBO or someone else.

    The first one that I remember watching was DLH vs trinidad. They didn't do them all that often until really recently. I am guessing we will start seeing more and more 24/7 shows eventually.

    HBO Countdown is nearly a better option than 24/7. On the subject of HBO Countdown, does anyone know where I could get its killer theme tune?
