I became a hardcore fan(dropped my interest in all other sports) in 1994 after
watching Ruelas/Pendleton:)conf) but i was already a big fan due to the likes
of Hagler, Duran, Chavez, SRL, Olivares, Pryor and others.

First time i really heard about boxing and kinda got interested in it was when Kessler faced Calzaghe in 2007. It was big news in Denmark.

But Super Six made me a boxing fan and a Cobra fan.

boxing was always around me as a kid, in my house there were magazines, tv, toy boxing gloves, and my father and his friends were big fight fans. we watched live boxing every saturday night. we would drag the tv outside and watch the fights with the neighbors and bet nickels on the bouts, this was around 1972.

ali, arguello, leonard, duran, delahoya, tyson, chavez and paquiao, are the boxers that kept me interested when the game got stale and i started to lose interest.

My mother started taking me to the fights in 67 or 68, when I was three. My first favorite fighter was Danny Lopez; I was scared when he fought Turi Pineda and I cried when he lost to Bobby Chacon. I started boxing in 1975 and teaching boxing in 1993.

18 years since the Holyfield/Tyson II fight.

I was a big WWF fan at the time and thought both had similarities with drama entertainment. It wasn't long until I realized that BOXING was a more pre-determined sport than fake pro-wrestling is.

Been hooked since Holyfield vs Bowe. Which was when I was 7 yo. Watched a few fights before that but that was my earliest major memory of the sport. I can kind of remember tyson vs Douglas as well but yeah wasn't that in to It then.

First fight I saw was Ali vs Liston but before that, the neighborhood boys would hold boxing matches every weekend in somebodies yard so I have been around boxing all my life. I started fighting in the middle seventies. Won a couple of local championships and went to the nationals twice. A little later I trained a few fighters but then I gave it up because I had a family to feed. I became an armchair warrior and that's what I am today, although I work out and stay in decent shape. I can still knock a buster out if he's slipping.

I've been training in boxing for 3 years and started following it soon after. Started with old fight tapes of Joe Louis and proceeded through the decades to Marciano, Ali, etc. I am currently following Eddie Gomez, Peter Quillin, and Errol Spence Jr.

The earliest fight I can recall seeing/being interested in, was Benitez v Leonard.
