I'm 41. I do remember as a child, my Dad talking about the 70's fighters: SRL, Duran, Hagler, Norton, Ali, Hearns, Holmes, etc. The first fight I remember watching was the fight Duran vs Leonard 2, then on to Tyson fights, Aaron Pryor, Ray Mancini, Hector Camacho. I quit watching boxing through the teen years because I was more interested in fights that consisted of arguing with the opposite sex. Then after highschool and on to the military, i've been pretty much a solid fan from then on, so since 1997 - to present day.

The Thing remake is in own beast entirely, a show case for how far "practical effects" had come.

It was supposed to be visceral and disgusting, and it succeeded. I like the movie. :risas3:

I'm 77. Born and raised in Brooklyn NY. Started watching boxing around 1954. Boxed in the gloves 1957. Went to lots of fights at the old and new Madison Square Garden. Used to go watch fighters train at Stillmans Gym. Two of the more well known fights I attended were Paterson vs. Chuvalo and Ali vs. Frazier. Used to go up to the Concord and Grossingers to watch fighters train. Got to talk to quite a few fighters thru the years. Floyd Patterson, Ali, Cooney, Quarry, Graziano, Giardello, Basilio, Fullmer DePaula and others.

That's incredible. You've witnessed so much history first hand. You're a lucky man.

Im 23. My dad and grandpa are big boxing fans and we’re always watching. My first boxing memory is watching a video of HBOs Boxings Best: Joe Louis with my dad when I was around five or six. Can’t say I became a big fan until High school though. When I started watching fights on YouTube. So about seven years I’ve been truly following the sport.

I started following boxing in 1981.. started with a fascination of the heavyweights... now I like the lower weights especially the Thai fighters... love the French fighters and cruiserweight division as well

I'd say I've followed Classic boxing extensively for around 4 odd years. Been around boxing for about 12.

    15. 16 at the end of November.

GGG got me interested and his fight with Jacobs had me hooked, then Joshua Klitschko sealed the deal.
So a little less than 2 and a half years

The first fight I can recall watching was Jerry Quarry vs Tony Doyle 2, I'm guessing that was in 68? So,,,around 51 years, began in the Golden Gloves in 70.

Cheers. I was a little **** at school so it was all I really focused on.
Every week day with YouTube, Boxrec and a couple mates who like fighting builds it up pretty quickly

I'm currently 18 years old, and i've been boxing since i was 16, but i started following boxing when i was 15 due to seeing a reznick video on Rocky Marciano (whom i was looking up from seeing the poster of him in "Rocky")

So i've been following boxing for about 3 years, 2 years closely

30+ years. Doing it, watching it, reading about it.
