This is well documented. The whole ugly affair. The offer came when Miranda was days from signing with Abraham. Just because Palle negotiates in bad faith, doesn't mean everyone else does. Think that might be part of Kessler's problems too? No reputable promoter wants to waste time negotiating with Palle after they saw what happened to Miranda?

Kessler is class, but his career is a total waste. The management of his return since Calzaghe is a farce and you wonder if he will ever compete at the level his talent deserves.

Froch is very very limited, but has great heart, a very good chin and a decent dig, he can also throw the right hand with decent disguise but is slow and lethargic in many rounds.

Bute is very good but vunerable, much better boxer than Froch would can be backed up and hurt by pressure.

The best prospect looks like Danny Jacobs, fast hands, puts combos together well and has a good reach and height at the weight. Chin is untested, but exciting to watch and very active too.

Sorry Boo I disagree. You have what, 6 months to a year to have your mandatory defence? (Feel free to correct me, been a while since I visited the WBC website.)

Did Froch pick a couple of Manfredos for a couple of easy paydays before fighting his mandatory?

I can think of a few former champs who would have said '**** the belt', and kept the easy paydays coming, go fight for a IBO,WBU,WBO title etc.

This guy goes to the states straight away, $700k, top challanger, crowd not on his side, nervous as hell, gets up from his first KD ever, wins.
The above gets a big :good from me.

both pascal and taylor i was wanting him to win. but after seeing what happened. i cant see him really doing anything much.i think the reason for his bold moves is the fact he talked alot of **** about calzaghe duckin and fighting bums.so hes trying to show calzaghe hes better.

Put that in comparison with Chad Dawson, who would be a unified champ right now if he would've done the same thing as Froch. Had he went to the lion's den to beat Diaconu for a 7 figure payday before he fought Tarver, he wouldn't have had to vacate and would've had the leverage to not be forced into a rematch clause with Tarver.

Very true. Also showed a lot of heart getting up from the KD and keepin on the pressure to get himself a KO win.

Too bad his fans are mutants.

Palle always been difficult to make a deal with, there was problems with negotiations between him and frank warren many times! honestly, i dont think anyone except Palle himself knows why he wont let Kessler find another promotor in peace.. :think maybe its becourse, if Kessler leaves Palle is out of buiness! but the strange thing is that team Palle have no future, he is old and have no good fighters left.. so he would rather destroy Kesslers career, instead of letting the guy move on!.. Palle is just an old senile donkey.. cant find other words for him!

My turn to be sorry. Froch had to make 2 straight mandatories after gaining the vacant belt. He couldn't have an optional. Not even one. That's why Taylor decided to fight Lacy first. He was sure to fight Froch anyway. That gave him a fight at 168. More, if Taylor had won against Froch in the eliminator, he would have been stuck himself with the 2 mandatories rule. instead, he made some cash and in the case he wins against Froch, he would have been free to face an optional after. Froch is not free to do the same.
