its funny you people get on williams for coming in so heavy and telling him to move up but look at ricky hatton his ass aint no natural 140lber, he walks around at 175. Obviously he stays at 140 because he has a strength advantage over the rest of the junior welters. ALOT of people that are in weight divisions drain and arent natural for their division.

Actually, no. Quintana came in at 158. Paul weighed 6lbs more than him.

It probably hurt Williams more than it hurt Quintana. Williams had absolutely no strength advantage inside. So that added weight was meaningless.

I think its an unfair advantage and someone will eventually get hurt again like Gamache did against Gatti. They should reweigh on fight night and not be allowed to weigh more than 10 pounds over the limit.

Williams needs to move up to 154 and fight Vernon or Mayorga. I would love to see Mayorga against Williams at 154......curiosity I guess

He was 158 vs Callazo and usually 154 when making 140.

It really didn't matter too much. He still got his ass kicked. Floyd, Cotto, Shane, Cintron, and Tony would've turned his lights out the other night.

I agree it's ridicolous boxing has to do something about this weight draining. PW could have fought at MW on saturday night.

Why are people overlooking Quintana? He came in as a middleweight.
