    As long as he wants. Haye could attempt to earn the shot, which he isn't doing based on the strength of his last opponent and given the Briggs is being teed up as the next punching bag I have my doubts Haye will do anything other than the path of least resistance.

    Haye should fight Briggs and get rid of him from the HW equation.

    Then Joshua should fight Haye and get rid of him from the HW equation.

    There's a middle ground here. He could've fought top 15-20 opposition, nobody would've complained.

    When he was asked if he'd need to step it up ahead of a Joshua fight, his reply was categorically 'no'.
