Don't tell that to the people expecting some live action cartoon to take place on May 2nd.

If Team Pacquiao is actually foolish enough to believe they can simply outmanuever Hatton they're in for a miserable time. That was Team Malignaggi's plan. It failed. Titanically.

I was on the same page awhile back, but at this point I'm starting to see more of an initial feeling out process between the two fighters. Hatton will be the point man, as can be expected, and I believe he's going to try and get a sense of Pacquiao's look in the early going. He won't want to get caught with anything stupid before he can gauge Pacquiao's speed and power, particularly while Pacquiao is still fresh with a full tank.

Pacquiao has always slowed down several speeds during a fight at various intervals throughout his career. He's not a guy with unlimited reserves, and he'll be burning his fuel at an accelerated rate against Hatton with all this moving they intend to do. All Hatton really needs to do is wait for the inevitable, body Pacquiao around here and there, score occassionally, and prepare for his man to slow down enough to start making mistakes and flattening his feet.

I'd suggest anyone who isn't familiar with what I'm describing go back and watch the Diaz fight - or essentially any Pacquiao fight for that matter. It hasn't been talked about much at all, but Pacquiao is a guy that absolutely must take breathers. He gasses and resurges, gasses and resurges, gasses and resurges. That's going to kill him against Hatton. He'll pay the moment he slows down. And he will slow down at some point prematurely.

I'll say long enough to make Pac win.

Pac is not gonna be running like PBF or Calderon. He will move around to make Hatton off balance while firing and winning rounds.

Some people wanted to take "statements" out of context to justify their stupid insinuations.

    Grahham is stupid.:yep

Basis??? All you need here is common sense.

Roach was talking of footwork and foot speed and Graham was saying this . . . "if Pacquiao tries to keep Hatton out all night" :deal

. . . do you honestly think that Pacquaio will "dance" without throwing punches that will hurt and slow down Hatton? Do you see him fighting like Calderon?

If you don't call that talking it out of context then what is that? That's not talking **** . . . that's talking logical. :-(

Show me a fight where Pacquiao run all night . . . to make it to the 12th round.

Yeah right . . . Pac doesn't have the ability to stop Hatton coming in.

    Congrats . . . for the logical view.:yep

Like I had previously stated in this thread; Roach has talked about how "..Hatton won't even be able to touch Pacquiao.." - what do you make of that then? This is theme of the footwork references - something that is directly related - and also COMMON SENSE - so let's not hijack the meaning. In fact, let's just use COMMON SENSE in general, and assume Pacquiao will actually be punching. Let's save ourselves the time.

Pac is not gonna need to keep him off all night. His hands will do that.

I am still a bit worried because of Hattons style but I feel Pac has progressed immensely since the Sanchez fight.

Pac can move slip get in and out before Hat can time him.

Hatton is not a counter puncher and thats the plan he'll need to win.

Hatton will elect to fight close and trade which will be a downfall.

By the time the Hitman is ready to land Pac will have already landed a combo and got out.

    Why is that?

Hatton IS a counterpuncher, BTW. He just does it forcing the action. Watch closer.

Separate HYPES from facts . . . you know that if these two fighters meet it's gonna be bloody.

Roach talking about Hatton not touching Pacquiao in their fight is HYPE. Grahham insinuating that Roach is planning to keep Hatton out the whole time until the last round is taking the footwork statement out of context and is stupid.

We should all know it won't happen. :deal

    Every fighter counters some .

But its his nature to swarm and abuse you against the ropes.

I'm thinking Pac will be fast enough to keep Hatton from cornering him for the majority of the fight. Easier said than done.

They will trade but I don't see Hattons timing being on point when Pac keeps moving in and out side to side

Let's go back to my question. Why does Hatton's style worry you? Details.
