After Pavlik and then perhaps Magee/Kessler, should Ward move up to LHW or are there some good options left for him at SMW? Do you think he will/should move up?

As long as he can still make the weight

    Pavlik
    Dirrell
    Bute

    Kessler
    Froch

Thing is some of these can take place at 175

    Probably 2 more fights.

I expect him to fight Pavlik next (Scheduled for January 26th according to Boxrec), then the winner of a potential Kessler/Froch rematch later in the year, in Denmark or England.

After that, who knows. There's not a lot at LHW at the moment. Guys like Cleverly etc need to advance a lot to be anywhere near his level. Cloud, Pascal, maybe even Bute if he moves up and is still fighting at a relatively high level.

He said directly after the Dawson fight that a move up to LHW is not out of the question, so I expect it to be in the near future. Although it will look bad on him if he dragged Dawson down to 168 to then only move up to his division 1 or 2 fights afterwards, guess they'd go for a rematch if Dawson gets past Pascal since as there's not much there anyway.

I'd like to see him in with either Stevenson or Oosthuizen just to thoroughly clean the division out before making the move up.

He should fight his home girl Dirrell, provided he doesn't ***** out and feign a brain injury again.

He should take care of unfinished business first... Then move up.

Nice post, thank you. Yeah, I hadn't considered the perception of things if Ward was to move up to LHW immediately after the no. 1 came down a weight. Perhaps we can look forward to more than 2 or 3 Ward fights at SMW. I agree, Oosthuizen would be a good choice. Stevenson not so much. I would like Stevenson to face Froch first.

As long as he wants. All roads lead to him. These other guys he has already shut down need to get in line.

So if Ward is waiting for the Chavez jr fight, does Ward have the power to stop him?

He's going to stay there until Clev moves up.

No way does he want any part of Clev.
