With former and current fighters setting up there promotions how long will the top 3 promoters in the UK last? Fighters down the years have complained about not getting the right money for fights in the past. The likes of Frank Warren was brought to court this year by Joe Calzaghe over not getting paid the right money. So are these fighters going to be around much longer.
I think now for some fighters who are going into the paid ranks they will look now to the likes of Hatton , Haye and even Calzaghe for them to promote them in the fights. They may not be well established like the 3 main promoters in the UK at the moment but they will grow into the leading forces on the UK scene because of the fighters involved in them. All that these new promotors have to look to as a guiding light is Golden Boy promotions as how it is done. We know Hatton and Haye have some sort of link to GBPs so this will help them.
I know people will say what about tv deals. So far Hatton promotions have a contract with Sky. Haye will get a tv deal as well with more than likely Sky and once Calzaghe gets a group of fighters I think he will get some tv deal. These 3 lads will be the promotors most fighters will want to be with. So how long has the 3 main men got left in boxing?

I don't see Hatton's promotion doing well at all, so I only see it being around a couple of years and not having any particular star fighters.

Hayemaker is different though. I think they can become a force in the promotional battle, they have a good solid foundation and should secure a television deal without a problem.

I still see the 3 main promoters still being around, with Hayemaker joining them.

Lots of fingers in different pies so I don't see any danger of them being overhauled any time soon unless they go bankrupt. Also, given the track record of how new promotional outfits fare when they take on the big boys then I'd say the big 3 UK promoters are safe for the time being. Hayemaker has been an outstanding success thus far, IMO, though.

Never the less, they have still been quite impressive for newbies- you can't deny that. Wait until Groves and Price start attacking the domestic scene and then add that to Hayes impending fight with Vitali and also whatever Rhodes is gonna do next.

Rhodes boxing for Euro title at about September time - although Hayemaker are just wanting to improve his WBC ranking with the win.

As you say, once their prospects start reaching their potential, Hayemaker will be making a sizeable profit in no time.

That said, IMO I'm not sure Price will make it past European level. I really like Groves tough, I reckon he's got an immense amount of potential and, as we discussed the other day, his apprenticeship thus far has been superb.

Even if Price only reaches domestic level, the crowds in Liverpool will turn out to watch him :good

I don't get the impression that Hayemaker would want to milk him, though. Who knows- the simple fact is that Hayemaker will turnover a lot of money in the coming years.

Haye maker has the stamp of Haye all over it. Speculate to accumulate and take a few risks.

Warren commented on Hatton proclaiming he'd love to promote Amir Khan, saying 'yeah, wouldn't we all, but you've got to put the money up first'. IMO Hatton won't, he'll refuse to put down a big outlay on the top prospects and get fed up after few years of no success.
