The Tyson from Bruno 2 vs the Tyson who stopped Trevor Berbick. How long would the older Mike Tyson last against his younger self?

I don't think he'd do that badly because of styles. Tyson never lost his punch or his chin; if anything he may have even hit harder punch for punch as he got older. He did however lose his timing and his defence.

While I'd still favour the younger version, if it became a slugfest which it well might, Pops may just dump Junior on his ass. The younger version would be well advised to box his older self and pick him apart rather than trying to be brave and getting the KO right away. Things could go pear shaped fast.

But the younger Tyson seemed more adept at throwing combinations

I think the younger Mike knocks out the older Mike in a couple of rounds.

I cannot imagine that sort of fight lasting more than a couple of rounds. It would be too grueling. I don't think Mike could take many of Mike's own punches.

I don't think either of them could bring themselves to hit the other. A lot of bobbing and weaving, feinting, but no actual punches thrown, after the "fight" they go have drinks where the older gives younger advise on life

He'd tell the younger one to stay away from these two girls named Robin Givens and Desiree Washington......terrible, terrible news those two.

As I said, I'd favour him. But I don't think its cut and dried.

Younger Tyson lands more, gets hit less doesn't fade as early in fights and has better timing.

Of course old Tyson's chin keeps him in the fight for a while and with Punchers that big anything can happen but the probable outcome is older Tyson starts tiring gets worn down and blasted out.

Expect alot of clinching, both guys coming forward, slamming into each other, holding so as not to have to take the other one's short punches up close.

Edit: let's also not forget how much mentally stronger a young Tyson was in the ring. No quit in pre prison Tyson, he kept swinging until the end

I honestly don't see 96 version of Tyson lasting more than 3-4 rounds. And, there is a chance that 96 Tyson gets sparked out in 1.

The difference in my opinion is Tyson of 86' was more of a slick boxer-puncher with great head movement , a combination puncher with very good foot work , compared to Tyson of 96' were he became more of a walk in slugger depending more on just power. To me its no contest, Tyson was far more a complete fighter in 86' than 96', Tyson of 86 blows Tyson of 96 completely out the water or ring in 5rds tops.
