As things stand at the moment Wlad will almost certainly get in, but Vitally might or might not depending upon the internal politics.

You dont know how his career will end. Fighing 2 top 3 ranked opponents in in 7 years of being champ is not HOF worthy.
No other fighter had the help of a relative to stay on top of the division and exceptions wont be made for Wlad.

You're dreaming if you think Vitali will be inducted and that gives your argument for Wlad less credibilty.

I didn't say that I thought hat Vitally would be inducted.

Iam not even going to argue with you about the strengths and weaknesses of their resumes, I am merely offering my opinion of waht the IBHOF will do.

It is virtualy a foregone conclustion that they will induct Wlad, and they might even be an automatic induction under policy. It dosn't mtter what happens in his next few fights because he has already reached the criteria that will see him inducted.

Whether or not they induct Vitally will depend upon their interpretation, and the internal politics.

Can you provide a quote of this policy you're harping on about?

I have been unable to locate the policy on induction, but it is my understanding that fighters who meet certain criteria are inducted automaticaly e.g. Bernard Hopkins.

What realy stacks the deck in favour of a guy like Wlad is the fact that the three nominees with the most votes are inducted automaticaly. What are the chances of there being three people on the ballot who will get more votes tahn Wlad in the year that he becomes eligible?

If there are (say an unusauly strong year) his proponents will just put his name in the ballot every year untill they get the result they want.

Ive kinda lost interest in the heavies since roundabout Lewis's retirement so im not up to spec as much as i used to be on the division but is this true what you just posted? Has Wlad, or Vitali, just fought 2 top 3 opponents in a 7yr reign????? I find that astonishing.

Fk me, and they called joe louis bum of the month

Off the top of my head, Byrd, Chagaev and Haye were top 3 when Wlad fought them, while Peter was top 3 when Vitally fought him.

Chambers and Adamek were either #3 or #4 at the time of their respective fights.

For Wlad its as true as the fact he hasn't dominated his era , a claim so many people make. Haye makes it 3

Dimitrenko was top 5 ranked for a number of those years or after.
