Andrea has fought twice in 27 months, he has never KO'd anyone of note. In fact his resume is abysmal. Although Yanks think he could beat Calzaghe.

How? He cant knock out Calzaghe, he lacks the power and you wont win on points by running away for 12 rds, so just how could he have beaten Calzaghe?

As long as Sir Joseph of Wales prefers for him to last.

hard one. either dirrell beats him on points or calzaghe overwhelms him with slaps

Im confused how is this even a debate? , According to many on ESB Ward is by far best at 168 for beating Kessler, so surely Calzaghe beating a younger better Kessler makes him for sure the best at 168?. Have barely seen any say Dirrell would beat Ward yet they think he would beat calzaghe?. I bet not many would pick Dirrell to beat the hopkins of a few years ago aswell.

I wouldn't pick Dirrell over Hopkins even now. Dirrel has no inside fight game. He runs out of gas later in fights, and he doesn't have the power to keep Hopkins off of him. It is a total different style match up then Dirrell vs Calzaghe.

Look at some of the stiffs Joe went twelve rounds with. He had trouble getting rid of some of the semi pro journeyman he "defended" against.

Calzaghe fans don't realize that he only has 2 real knock outs on his record. The rest are TKO's, and some of those are bad ref stoppages. He doesn't have much in terms of power.

:patsch What Dirrell coming off of a KO and a loss isnt as good as where Lacy, Eubank, Veit 2, Reid, Woodhall, Mitchell were in their careers when Calzaghe beat them, and all of those fighters have better resumes than Dirrell

And to think most of those are better than anything on Dirrells resume

Dirrell would not get past the 1rst round.

Ref stops the fight after Joe "ko machine" lands 2 slaps out of 200.
